QuickBooks Online for the Workplace & Small Business Owner

QuickBooks Online contains all the features and tools that a small business or contractor would need to keep track of vendors, customers, and financial accounts.

The purpose of this course is to teach you how to successfully navigate and use QuickBooks Online as your business' accounting software. However, it's also useful for those who have used previous desktop versions of QuickBooks and want to learn about Quickbooks Online. 

No books will be required. Students interested can download the free trial version of QuickBooks Online for this course:  https://intuit.me/3pYjyGb 

Who Should Attend
This course was designed for the beginning or intermediate user of QuickBooks. 

Class Format
In-person (on campus) at Cape Cod Community College. Masks are optional indoors and all students will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to participate in this course. Requests for reasonable accommodation, including requests for a medical or religious exemption, will be considered consistent with applicable laws, legal guidance, and College policy.

Student COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Starting January 2022 all students that plan on taking classes in-person on campus, or intend on using in-person support services on campus, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This vaccination required applies to students taking credit and noncredit course(s). If you plan on taking online classes, classes led by Zoom, or if you are an employer requesting off-site training exclusively, proof of vaccination will not be required. About the Instructon
Susan Martin is the founder and President of Pay Cape Cod & Quickbooks On The Cape.  With over 30 years of experience in small business ownership, she understands the importance of quality service and listening to her customers’ needs. She has an extensive background in Quickbooks/Payroll training, installation and processing.

Sue is a past president of the Rotary Club of Hyannis, current Treasurer of Eventide Arts, Inc. and also involved with various other community organizations. She currently lives in Dennis with her husband Jack.  They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Microsoft Excel Essentials in the Workplace

This hands-on class will focus on the logic and power of this powerful program. Students will learn not only the basics, but several tips and tricks available to allow the creation of spreadsheets in a fraction of the time.

This interactive session is recommended for all levels. Attendees will be able to create a basic spreadsheet with formulas and functions in less than three minutes.

Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Types of Input
  • Writing Simple Formulas
  • Writing Simple Functions
  • Formatting in a Flash
  • Functions in Excel
  • Cell Referencing
  • Creating and Linking Multiple sheets in a workbook
  • Creating Charts
  • Writing reports and letters that are used in an employee’s role

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for individuals who are looking to learn more and enhance their MS Excel skills in the workplace. Individuals are encouraged to bring current spreadsheet projects with them to work on in real-time.

Take this course from the comfort of your home or office! This course is offered remotely using Zoom. Zoom guidance and instructions will be provided prior to the start of class.

This hands-on session will explore additional formulas and functions and address absolute verse relative cell referencing, multiple worksheets and displaying of data using charts.

This interactive session is appropriate for users that need to customize their worksheets, present data through charts, and/or develop long-range spreadsheets for data tracking. Attendees will learn how to expand their knowledge and use of functions and the creation of charts.
