Managing Your Personal Finances (WPG504-68)

This 3-hour workshop is a quick course in personal finance specifically developed for individuals who are anxious about financial decisions they will be making over the next 5-6 years. Participants will learn the differences between various personal finance options in their lives. Topics will include: budgeting, financial safety online, credit and debit card basics, and how to understand your credit score/credit history.
This course is offered in a remote learning capacity. Zoom guidance and instructions will be provided in advance of the first session.

When do you negotiate? Always! Negotiation is an underutilized, yet critical business skill that lies dormant within most organizations. Many employees, including management, are uncomfortable with negotiation and may be unaware of how that is impacting their own job performance, as well as the overall performance of their organizations.
Who Should Attend?
This session prepares attendees to hone their personal negotiating style and skills, as well as identify and defend against the negotiating techniques that may be used against them by suppliers, customers and co-workers.
About the Instructor:
Rich Weissman is an experienced supply chain management practitioner and educator. He works with businesses to build scalable and sustainable supply chain strategies. His focus includes strategic sourcing, sales and operations planning, process improvement, and sales and customer service management. Weissman teaches operations and supply chain management, strategy and policy, entrepreneurship, and managerial economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and writes and speaks extensively on issues impacting the global supply chain. He has more than twenty-five years of hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management for Boston area manufacturing and service companies. He is past president of the Purchasing Management Association of Boston (ISM-GB) and the recipient of the Harry J. Graham Memorial Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Association. Weissman earned an MS in Management from Lesley University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.
