Course Descrition:

QuickBooks Online contains all the features and tools that a small business or contractor would need to keep track of vendors, customers, and financial accounts.

The purpose of this course is to teach you how to successfully navigate and use QuickBooks Online as your business' accounting software. However, it's also useful for those who have used previous desktop versions of QuickBooks and want to learn about Quickbooks Online. You'll learn how to use all the features of QuickBooks Online including:

  • Setting up your company in QuickBooks
  • Creating customer & vendor lists
  • Creating and tracking invoices
  • Paying Bills & writing checks

About the Instructor:

Susan Martin is the founder and President of Pay Cape Cod & Quickbooks On The Cape.  With over 30 years of experience in small business ownership, she understands the importance of quality service and listening to her customers’ needs. She has an extensive background in Quickbooks/Payroll training, installation and processing.

Sue is a past president of the Rotary Club of Hyannis, current Treasurer of Eventide Arts, Inc. and also involved with various other community organizations. She currently lives in Dennis with her husband Jack.  They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Course Description:

Microsoft Excel is one of the most powerful and versatile business tools. This course will help students familiarize themselves with basic functions, formulas, commands and keystrokes. Students will learn the basics of creating and using spreadsheets to increase their workplace productivity. This course will include an overview of the ribbon bar, commonly used commands, and basic formulas used to automate one's work. Students will also discover professional Excel tips for brilliant, distinctive output every time, on every worksheet.

Who Should Attend?

This program is for confident beginner users of MS Excel who are ready to explore additional functions, formulas and commands to increase their workplace productivity.

About the instructor:

Elaine Moore has earned three degrees: Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science as well as a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems. 

She has worked as a Director of Information Technology at the National Graduate School of Quality Systems Management (NGS) in Falmouth, then transitioned to the New England College of Business (NECB) in Boston. While at NECB, she was part of the eLearning Technology department, which created animated and interactive lectures for online classes.

Elaine started classroom teaching for Cape Cod Community College in the Fall semester of 2006 and has been teaching with us ever since! Students enjoy Elaine's friendly and personal demeanor.

This session will explore additional formulas and functions and address absolute vs. relative cell referencing, multiple worksheets and displaying of data using charts. 

Attendees will learn how to expand their knowledge and use of functions and creation of charts.Topics covered include, but are not limited to: functions in Excel, cell referencing, creating and linking multiple sheets in a workbook, and creating charts.

Who Should Attend?

This session is appropriate for users who need to customize their worksheets, present data through charts, and/or develop long-range spreadsheets for data tracking.

This interactive session is recommended for all levels. Attendees will be able to create a basic spreadsheet with formulas and functions in less than three minutes.
