Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for the Funeral Service Provider (WHN147-62)

with Dan Shea

Date: Thursday, 8/26/21, 1 session
Time: 10am-1pm
Format: Remote/Virtual streaming

Course Details:

This course is unique in providing funeral specific bloodborne pathogen training, differentiating it from generalized courses in BBP typically available to licensed embalmers/directors and those seeking initial licensure requirements.

Although this course is specialized to meet or exceed the licensure needs of those working in a post-mortem setting, all content is relevant and pertinent to anti-mortem care and protection as well.

The course covers: guidelines, precautions, infection control program elements, preventing transmission, hygiene, PPE use, and an in-depth approach to infectious agents.

This course was designed based on the OSHA requirements 239 CMR 3.12(13) and 29 CFR 1910.1030 as a direct instruction of the two standards with an in-depth instruction of the various components of the standards. However, this course is not certified directly by OSHA.

This course is offered in a remote learning capacity. Zoom link and instructions will be provided in advance of the session.
