Employer Support Series offered by Cape Cod Community College
Practical Takeaways that Inspire Action

When business is running smoothly, it is easy to focus on only doing things a certain way. You may hear, “This is how we do it here,” or “This is how we’ve always done it.” As this mentality grows within a team, they can become overly protective of their systems, or complacent doing just what is necessary to get the job done. During challenging times, this becomes a liability potentially negatively impacting the business.

In this session, we’ll talk about the importance of fostering innovation and creativity in a team, plus the resistance you may face in doing so and why. Then we’ll explore different ways to infuse your team with crucial problem-solving skills and how to foster others to take initiative. Finally, we will discuss what the workplace can look like with an innovative and creative team. The goal is for you to leave with tactics you can use with your team to help them stretch their comfort zones, while still staying productive.

This course is offered in a remote learning capacity. Zoom guidance and instructions will be provided prior to the start of the course.

This series was made possible through funding from the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation. The CCCC Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the mission of Cape Cod Community College, its students, its faculty, and its community endeavors, by raising and managing funds, encouraging endowments, and supporting the College’s objectives.
