This online course provides an interdisciplinary approach to the art of the western world from the magical creations of the Old Stone Age to the magnificent works of the Gothic era.  Illustrated lectures deal with such topics as ideas guiding artistic creations, general stylistic trends, important methods, materials, and techniques used. 

Although this program is offered as noncredit, students will be joining with credit students in this credit/noncredit blended program.
