The Center for Corporate and Professional Education at Cape Cod Community College is pleased to announce a Marine Technician/Mechanic Training Program, offered in partnership with Massachusetts Marine Trades Association (MMTA) and Yamaha Marine University, to meet the demands of the booming Massachusetts boating industry!
This Yamaha Introduction to Outboard Systems course covers all components and functions of an outboard engine.
For a limited time, the MMTA will pay 50% of the course fee per student reducing the cost to $499 per student. Add yourself to our Wait List to be eligible for the $499 per student cost.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have developed the skill set needed to enter the workforce as an entry-level Outboard Engine Technician, and students will receive a Yamaha industry-recognized credential.
Who Should Take This Program
This 100-hour program is for entry-level participants with little or no experience in the field. Previous experience is desirable but not required. Interested participants should have a high school diploma/equivalent or 1-3 years’ experience in the field.
What to Expect
This program is hybrid with in-person classroom instruction, live Zoom sessions, onsite technical instruction, and online instruction. Students will receive career coaching, curriculum support, as well as hands-on training.
