Certification Preparation Programs
OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Certification
This 40-hour course contains the 29 CFR 1910.120 regulatory overview, site and safety health plan, job hazard analysis, waste characterization, site investigation/audit, personal protective equipment, air monitoring, decontamination, SCBA use, basic principles of emergency response, introduction to confined space, and chemical hazards vs. physical hazards.
Course dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2/26-3/12/2026; 8:30am - 4:30pm

ServSafe Certification
with Paul McCormick
This course is designed for individuals seeking initial certification as food service managers. As an accredited program, it provides comprehensive preparation for the ServSafe exam, which will be administered on the final day of class. The required textbook is included with enrollment, with two-weeks provided for study.
Class meets on 3/2 and 3/16/2026.
Who Should Attend:
This program is for those in the food service industry who need to be certified in sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness.

Massachusetts Certified Hot Work Training
The Massachusetts Certified Hot Work Training may be taken as a stand-alone program or as a part of our Welding Basics with Hot Work Certification Program.
In Massachusetts, individuals who perform, supervise, or delegate hot work activities—such as welding, cutting, or brazing—must hold a state-approved Hot Work Safety Certificate. To earn the certificate, participants must complete approved training and pass an assessment. The certification is valid for three years and must be renewed upon expiration.
Our Massachusetts state-approved program covers all aspects of the new Hot Work requirements. This 3-hour training meets state guidelines and includes OSHA standards as well as the Hot Work permitting process.

OSHA HAZWOPER Refresher
This 8-hour hazwoper refresher course covers the 29 CFR 1910.120 regulation, work-site safety, hazard communication, emergency action plans/contingency plans, fire protection/prevention, back safety and container handling, confined spaces, air monitoring, decontamination, personal protective equipment, and respiratory protection.
Who Should Attend
This class is for those responsible for workplace safety and building and/or job site management.

ServSafe Recertification

This course is intended for the recertification of food service managers, which is required every five years. The program includes a comprehensive review of key materials, followed by the ServSafe exam administered on the same day.

OSHA 10 Safety Training
Minimize exposure to hazardous conditions, be in compliance with Federal and State laws, and reduce your organizations liability exposure. This OSHA 10 safety training is designed for entry-level workers in the trades and is beneficial to ensure individuals are following the correct guidelines for on the job safety.

40-Hour Real Estate Salesperson Exam Prep
with David Harris
The 40-Hour Real Estate Salesperson Exam Prep Course is open to anyone who wishes to sit for the Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
Massachusetts requires 40 hours of pre-license training prior to the real estate salesperson exam. This course will prepare students for the license exam. It is approved by the MA Board of Registration for fulfilling its licensing requirements.
Scholarships Available! With support from the Cotton Center for Real Estate Studies, we are able to offer a $400 scholarship based on student need. The scholarship reduces the cost per student to $99.

In-person at the Cape Cod Community College, Hyannis Center.
