OSHA 8 Hazwoper Refresher

This 8-hour hazwoper refresher course covers the 29 CFR 1910.120 regulation, work-site safety, hazard communication, emergency action plans/contingency plans, fire protection/prevention, back safety and container handling, confined spaces, air monitoring, decontamination, personal protective equipment, and respiratory protection.

This class is for those responsible for workplace safety and building and/or job site management.

Local Anesthesia Refresher

This hands-on local anesthesia course will focus on updating skills in delivering injections. Time will be spent on the Inferior Alvelor Injection, Posterior Superior Alveolar injection and helpful injection technique tips for infiltration and nerve blocks.

Important: In order to register for this course, participants must hold current Massachusetts Permit Licensure. Participants must be able to serve as patients and receive as well as administer local anesthesia. 3 CEU's will be awarded upon completion.

You will learn to:
• Practice on our new state of the art local anesthesia simulator program
• Perform local anesthesia techniques commonly used by dental hygienists
• Practice nerve block injections such as inferior alveolar/lingual, mental, greater palatine, nasopalatine• Learn about new anesthetic products

All participants must bring to class:

  • Current Dental Hygiene and Permit L licenses 
  • Copy of malpractice insurance certificate
  • Clinical attire (scrub tops and pants, clinical shoes, masks, gloves and safety glasses)

Who Should Attend?
Registered Dental Hygienists in need of continuing education credits (CEU's). Participants must hold current Massachusetts Permit Licensure.

Massachusetts Approved Hoisting 2A/1C Test Prep

The Massachusetts Approved Hoisting 2A/1C Test Prep classes are designed to prepare students for the 2A and 1C hoisting exams. These classes cover essential topics, including safety protocols, equipment operation, maintenance, and regulations. With industry experience instructors (who hold valid hoisting licenses) and our comprehensive study materials, students gain the knowledge and confidence needed to pass the exams and obtain their licenses.

Whether you are new to the field or looking to upgrade your skills, these test prep classes provide the support and training necessary for success.

2A hoisting license allows the holder to operate crawler and rubber-tired excavators, backhoes, and loaders, including combination loader/backhoe machines, front-end loaders, bobcats, and uni-loaders and compact hoisting machinery with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 10,000 pounds (excluding Class 1, Class 3, and Class 4 Hoisting Machinery) 

1C license allows the holder to operate equipment with hydraulic telescoping booms and any other hydraulic equipment designed for the purpose of hoisting, excluding those with wire rope hoist lines and all equipment listed in class 1D. (General industrial warehouse Fork Lift equipment primarily used in indoor facilities.) 

Hoisting license applicants must be 18 years old, complete an application, and successfully pass an exam, administered by the OPSI (Office of Public Safety and Inspections). To pass, you must earn a minimum grade of 70%. This exam will cover all working parts of hoisting machinery, safe operating practices, hand signals, and inspection procedures. Licenses must be renewed every 2 years.
