Build on your existing Excel skills in this course designed for self-taught users. Learn how to freeze and unfreeze cells, apply conditional formatting, protect worksheets, and explore a variety of other useful functions to boost your efficiency and confidence.

We will also explore how to create a multiple sheet workbook and link the formulas between the sheets. This will include the difference between Relative and Absolute cell referencing, Pivot Tables and Charts, and a review of Protecting a worksheet.  You will also learn how to use the IF and Vlookup along with other functions.

This virtual seminar will explore how to freeze and unfreeze cells, conditional formatting, protecting a worksheet, and many functions.  Some of these functions are commonly used and other are not used very much. This is to give you experience using different functions. We will also explore how to create a multiple sheet workbook and link the formulas between the sheets. MS Excel Advanced in the Workplace

This virtual, interactive and hands-on course will explore additional formulas and functions and address absolute verse relative cell referencing, multiple worksheets and displaying of data using charts. It is appropriate for users that need to customize their worksheets, present data through charts, and/or develop long-range spreadsheets for data tracking. Attendees will learn how to expand their knowledge and use of functions and the creation of charts.

Individuals are encouraged to bring current spreadsheet projects with them to work on in real-time, privately with the instructor.

Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Functions in Excel
  • Cell Referencing
  • Creating and Linking Multiple Sheets in a Workbook
  • Creating Charts
  • Filtering and Sorting Data
  • Inserting and Using a Pivot Table

All individuals participating in this training via Zoom are encouraged to have a second monitor, iPad or other tablet device to watch while you participate on your own computer.
