Free
Date: November 21, 2025, from 1:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: In person, at the Nantucket Public Safety Facility, Training Room
This safeTALK training is offered exclusively for the Nantucket First Responders.
Why Enroll? Police, paramedics, and firefighters face a higher risk of suicide than the general public. This safeTALK suicide prevention training empowers first responders to recognize warning signs, talk openly about suicide, and take life-saving action.
Why It Matters: safeTALK builds a stronger network of support within your team—helping peers, colleagues, and community members stay safer from suicide.
What You’ll Learn: Training Includes: Interactive discussions, real-life videos, and hands-on practice to strengthen your confidence and response skills.
The Cape and Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition has partnered with Cape Cod Community College and Cape & Island District Attorney's Office to offer QPR, safeTALK, Mental Health First Aid, Sudden Death Postvention, and ASIST training programs that provide our communities with the necessary information and tools to raise awareness, educate, and increase action to reduce suicides.
