Computer Basics for Beginners (WIT266-62)

Do you want to be able to use a computer but do not know where to start? Have no fear, the content of this course will help you to learn the basics of using a personal computer such as understanding the desktop and start menu and creating and saving a document. You will also get guided exposure to the finer points of computing in Microsoft Word.
This is a fun and highly interactive course where students learn through instructor-led hands-on exercises.Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:
- Identify Windows Ribbons and Bars and demonstrate Window function by utilizing scroll, minimize, restore, resize, move, and close.
- Demonstrate basic Word Processing skills by formatting text into a project such as a list, letter, or flyer.
- Create, save, and organize documents in Files and Folders.
- Build basic Columns & Tables.
- Show basic navigation in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Microsoft Excel for Experienced Users (WIT033-62)

This in person, interactive and hands-on session will explore additional formulas and functions and address absolute and relative cell referencing, multiple worksheets and displaying of data using charts. It is appropriate for users that need to customize their worksheets, present data through charts, and/or develop long-range spreadsheets for data tracking. Attendees will learn how to expand their knowledge and use of functions and the creation of charts.

Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Exam Prep Course (WPG458-62)

The SHRM-CP certification is for individuals that perform general HR/HR-related duties; or for those pursuing a career in Human Resource Management.
Candidates for the SHRM-CP certification are not required to hold an HR title and do not need a degree or previous HR experience to apply; however, a basic working knowledge of HR practices and principles is recommended.
The SHRM-CP exam is designed to assess the competency level of those who engage in HR work at the operational level. Work at this level includes duties such as implementing HR policies, supporting day-to-day HR functions, or serving as an HR point of contact for staff and stakeholders.

Mastering Project Management: Strategies for Success (WPG029-62)

Project Management is more about managing expectations than dates. Effectively managing multiple projects, resources, and budgets is critical in today's global business environment. This Project Management course will dive into the roles and responsibilities of the project manager and examine project management in theory as well as in practice. The course offers a practical approach to managing projects, without requiring any previous project management experience. We will focus on organizing, planning, and controlling the deliverables of the project using good practices.
Students will participate in structured workshops where simulated project plans are designed and implemented. At the end of the course, students will understand why project management requires a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail, and how to achieve that end in future projects.
We will examine project management roles, the project lifecycle, and various techniques of work planning, control, and evaluation to achieve project objectives using system tools and project management philosophies.

This virtual, interactive and hands-on session will explore additional formulas and functions and address absolute verse relative cell referencing, multiple worksheets and displaying of data using charts. It is appropriate for users that need to customize their worksheets, present data through charts, and/or develop long-range spreadsheets for data tracking. Attendees will learn how to expand their knowledge and use of functions and the creation of charts.
Individuals are encouraged to bring current spreadsheet projects with them to work on in real-time, privately with the instructor.
