Course Description:

Time  management  and  stress  management are two key components to succeeding in life. Creating a system to identify, evaluate, and eliminate distractors and stressors will lead to a more productive and efficient life, inside and outside of work. In this course, you will learn how to earn more time and be less stressed by identifying time wasters, and creating solutions to overcome them.

Who Should Attend?

If you are a procrastinator or an over-thinker; if you feel unorganized or are easily distracted, then this program is for you! Come learn every day tips and tricks to avoid interruptions, meet your goals and lose the stress while taking back control of your time and productivity!

About the Instructor:

Dianne Klayman has over 25 years’ experience in leadership and organizational development assessing departmental needs; designing and delivering various programs in both the public and private sectors. 

Dianne holds a BA in Education from the University of Massachusetts as well as a MSW from Boston College School of Social Work; certifications as a Myers-Briggs Type Instrument, Leadership 2000 and Situational Leadership Instructor; and in addition, Dianne is a Mass certified meditator and continued to advance her training in this area by attending Harvard University’s Program on Negotiation.

This program will explore the six steps involved in creating a successful strategic plan:

  • Understand the definition of strategic planning
  • Identify the six steps necessary in creating a strategic plan
  • Identify customers & vendors
  • Create a vision and purpose statement
  • Develop a SWOT profile
  • Identify next steps

Who should attend?

Small business owners and managers seeking guidance to develop and set overall goals for their business, and an implementation plan to achieve them. 

About the Instructor:

Rich Weissman is an experienced supply chain management practitioner and educator. He works with businesses to build scalable and sustainable supply chain strategies. His focus includes strategic sourcing, sales and operations planning, process improvement, and sales and customer service management. Weissman teaches operations and supply chain management, strategy and policy, entrepreneurship, and managerial economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and writes and speaks extensively on issues impacting the global supply chain. He has more than twenty-five years of hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management for Boston area manufacturing and service companies. He is past president of the Purchasing Management Association of Boston (ISM-GB) and the recipient of the Harry J. Graham Memorial Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Association. Weissman earned an MS in Management from Lesley University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

 

Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Exam Prep Course (WGB458-66)

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP): For HR professionals who are engaged primarily in operational roles - implementing policies, serving as the HR point of contact for staff and stakeholders, and/or performing day-to-day HR functions.

This is offered in an online/remote learning capacity with remote sessions on 2/16, 3/2, 3/16, 3/30, 4/13, and 4/27 from 6-9pm. Zoom guidance and instructions will be provided prior to the start of the course. 

Attention Employers: This Training is Eligible for Reimbursement!
This course is eligible for the Commonwealth Corporation Express Program funds. Danielle Dupuis, Program Coordinator, will help employers complete an Express Program application at least three weeks prior to the start of training.
